Happy New Year, Everyone!
This is the perfect time to take a look back at the year that has come to an end, and feel gratitude for all the opportunities and recognition that have come our way. Each year, since the firm began in 1974, we give thanks for the wonderful projects, dedicated staff and loyal clients that support us and make our work possible and meaningful. So, here’s a look back at some of our accomplishments in 2012: In March, we celebrated a milestone… Our 38th birthday!
Also in March, members of our firm helped organize our local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Gala that raised over $850,000.00 for diabetes research. We not only donated our services to the silent auction but volunteered our time during the event. What an exciting event for an important cause.
In May 2012, a recent project of ours was featured in (201) Magazine, entitled “A Vision In Motion”. The article highlighted various rooms throughout the home including the Foyer, Kitchen and Dining Room. But the main focus of the article was on the newly renovated lower level which contains a stunning Home Theatre, custom Library, Billiard Room and Wine Cellar. We thank (201) for choosing to feature our project!
Also in May, Ron and Lynn attended the ASID sponsored trade show in Bernardsville, NJ. Here, they networked with our longstanding fabric, furniture, carpet, wall-covering and accessory vendors while catching a glimpse of new product and design trends.
Later in May, we were published in The Record’s Home section “Designed for Living” column. This article addressed a design challenge that we solved for our client. We transformed a dark and dated Den into a light and airy space, while maximizing storage with a custom built-in.

As you can see, May was a busy month for us here at RNIDG, but our proudest moment was when Paige welcomed her beautiful baby boy, Jake, into the world! What an exciting time for all of us. This little baby definitely has design in his DNA!
In June, Design New Jersey featured an article on a modern Great Room that we renovated. This was a fun photo shoot for longtime clients, as we could compare the new photos to the “before” shots taken in the 1980’s when we first designed the space. What an exciting project to refresh and bring better functionality to a dated room. We were honored that Design NJ chose our project!
In September, The Record’s column called “The Tile Oracle” featured a beautiful kitchen we completed this year in which we installed a stunning backsplash with a custom medallion.

We want to thank all the publications that chose to feature our work. We also thank all the talented subcontractors and tradespeople that help bring our designs to fruition. Finally, we want to thank our clients for entrusting us to design your most important space… your home. You are the reason we have the privilege to do work that we love every single day. What could be better?
